Projects

MA Squared Mobile App

Description: As a graduate student studying social psychology, I worked on the content strategy, UX writing, and design for an app used to study the effects of microaggressions and microaffirmations on students. The app aimed to provide a user-friendly, interactive way for students to report the microaggressions and affirmations they experienced on-campus. My work focused on crafting concise, clear language that was easily understood, helping users navigate the system efficiently.

Key Contributions:

  • Wrote and edited user interface language to ensure a clear and easily understandable app experience.

  • Created content for emails, push notifications, and educational materials to support user onboarding and ongoing engagement.

  • Collected user feedback to identify content gaps and opportunities for app improvement.

  • Collaborated with design, research, and engineering team members to create a cohesive user experience.

Product and Marketing Pages

Description: As a senior content generalist, I had the opportunity to work on the creation of a variety of product and marketing pages, including alternative formats such as infographics. The pages needed to be informative, engaging, and persuasive, while also addressing the pain points and needs of the target audience. My role involved strategizing the page content and modules, conducting keyword analysis to optimize the pages for search engine optimization (SEO), and either writing the copy or managing freelance subject matter experts to support content production needs.

Key Contributions:

  • Conducted research on user segments and analyzed data to identify the most effective type of content.

  • Developed content strategies that highlighted the unique features of each product and addressed the specific needs of different types of learners.

  • Wrote attention-getting headlines and subheadings to help to guide the user through the page.

  • Conducted keyword research to identify the most relevant and high-traffic keywords.

  • Optimized the product descriptions and other on-page content using these keywords, while also ensuring that the content remained informative and engaging for the user.

Outreach Campaigns

Background

I began my career as a teacher dedicated to providing the best possible education to my students. In this role, I created daily lesson plans, developed engaging curricula, and maintained effective communication with parents. After teaching for a few years, I decided to pursue graduate studies in social psychology. During this time, I had the opportunity to work on the content and design of an app that measured student experiences of discrimination on campus.

This ignited my interest in working in the tech industry, where I could leverage my skills in content creation to make a meaningful impact. Since then, I have been actively involved in the EdTech industry, where I have been strategizing, creating, and optimizing product and marketing content.

I am currently open to remote opportunities or those based in Los Angeles. I am eager to take on new challenges and opportunities by creating impactful content and contributing to the growth of innovative companies.
